Before Nashville

Ben and I are heading to Nashville! Earlier this week, we celebrated our two year anniversary. Instead of getting gifts, we decided a few months ago we wanted to celebrate by taking a trip somewhere. After weeks and weeks of planning, it's finally here!
I've spent the better part of today packing and getting ready — we're flying, which comes with some limits — but as I've discussed here before, I love packing for things. It makes me nearly overwhelmed with excitement for whatever adventure is about to come. I particularly enjoy picking out the outfits I'll bring, plotting out what we'll be doing each day.
It's wild to me that one of the things I'm most looking forward to is something I can literally do any day in Charlotte — get up in the morning, walk to the nearest coffee shop, then walk around and explore the area while drinking that coffee. But what's different about doing it on a vacation is the scenery — I'll have a new place to explore with Ben, a different coffee shop then the ones I frequent here, an entirely unique experience.
Heck, if I'm this excited for the cup of coffee I'll have, I can't wait to see how excited I get by literally anything else we do during our weekend away.
Where we're going isn't far (the flight is under two hours), and the weather looks like it'll be about the same as it has been in Charlotte. But it still, rightfully, feels like a vacation — an adventure.
Check back next week to see just how good that morning walk to a coffee shop turned out to be.
