Emma Korynta is a Digital Content Producer at WCNC Charlotte, an NBC affiliate with TEGNA in Charlotte, North Carolina.
A proud graduate of James Madison University, Emma studied media arts & design with a minor in writing, rhetoric & technical communication. She spent her free time with The Breeze student newspaper and WXJM-fm college radio as a campus tour guide and barista. She won a donut-eating contest over 10 years ago and still uses it as her fun fact.
She finished her M.A. in Digital Communication at UNC-Chapel Hill in December 2024, and received the Joy Gibson Cohort Award during her time at UNC. She hopes to use this graduate degree to teach and further her journalism career.
Emma aims to use her love of writing and communication to amplify the stories of others.
